Armor/Weapon Mixer
Although I'm sure people will /not sign, I just want to get the opinions of people. I can say I am tired of making a post in the Screenshot Request, and having no one post it in, or say something like "look in post your Warrior/Ranger/wtc.. thread you noob lololololol". I want to be able to mix armors/weapons without having to post there, nor actually farm to see. What should happen is, all the armors you've seen for your profession and weapons can be viewed in chart or something. What happens, you can mix all the armor/weapons you've seen, to see if it looks any good. If it does, go out and farm!

Great idea! I know how you feel. I'm tired of having to go search around for an armor set, weapon, or combo in a sea of threads if I get no reply, or some sort of flame that tells me to start looking elsewhere. -_-;;
Was this suggested for GW2? =O

I would like this. But I would say whenever your character reaches the outpost where you can first craft a specific armor set then that is when they can preview it. Not sure how it would go for weapons, but either way /signed.

That is a good idea for armors. When you do preview, a table similiar to the dye mixer appears. Then, you can click on Head, Torso, Gloves, and Boots. Another panel will show up, showing all the armors you've seen, so you can mix n match. For weapons, go to a weapons crafter. A panel with the choice of all seen weapons will appear.

Simple, make a window like the dye preview, with an attached selection screen like the PvP equipment window, that shows all the weapon and armor skins you've unlocked.
Perhaps if you've unlocked Elite Sunspear by putting it on an Ele, then "Elite Sunspear" would be available as a preview to all characters on the account. Same with weapon skins.

The weapons-for the most part-are honestly actually quite hazy, and don't really mind if it's not implemented. However, the armor is what I really want!

why is it a waste of time, now instead of having to go online or request here you can see for yourself. Also this will allow you to see on your character's model so that you can see all the clipping etc. It should be, however a 3d version as making a 2d version can cost enormous bandwidth, same deal like the armor preview thread, but seing as that havent been implemented et dunno about this one either, and that once from 2005 i think

Well actually Guild Wiki has pictures of the armor. They even have some pictures of the color the armor would be if you used dye on it. But I have to agree it would be nice if there was and NPC in the armor areas you could go to to try on armor for that area. It could work like the new dye screen preview. You go to the NPC your character comes up and a list of available armors in that area and you could try them on by putting the chest piece in the chest slot. Or if you could buy a NPC in your guild that could show you all the armors available for your character in this manner.

btw this could be done like a little island in the isle of nameless. and you have your character there and you can see all the different armors there. it could be an area where you get all of the pvp items unlocked? with black and white dyes as well for mixing. can only be done on pvp chars and dyes dont drop. and you can save it as a armor temp i guess. and if it would take up too much space maybe anet could make it as a 3 rd party program. with just the character creation screen and all the pvp stuff unlocked and an island.
That would probolly be best.
i dunno just tossing out my idea that i have had for a while now. maybe we could just make one for ourselves and post it here?

True, but what if you don't want the complete set?
